For this year’s Bell Ringing ceremony, an advance reservation system will be introduced to ease congestion, prevent accidents, reduce waiting times in the cold, and provide a more pleasant experience for visitors. In addition, an admission fee will be collected to support the preservation of our cultural properties.
The admission fee we receive is used to maintain and restore these cultural properties.

Admission: Advance reservation required (first-come, first-served)
Capacity: Four sessions, 500 participants per session (total of 2,000)
How to Apply:
① Please apply through the application form on the event page for “Bell Ringing on New Year’s Eve for 2025” of the Chion-in official website.※
・Application period: From 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 1
② At the Yuzen Garden reception desk at Chion-in
・Application period: From Monday, December 8 to Tuesday, December 30
・Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily
Reservations cannot be made by phone or email.
Admission fee(as a donation): ¥3,000 per person (free for elementary school students and younger)
